Cody DeHart
Vice President of Engineering
Cody DeHart joined GB Connections in 2025 as Vice President of Engineering, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) industry and a genuine passion for solving complex challenges through smart, practical engineering.
In his role, DeHart leads product development, research and development, sustaining engineering and quality assurance, guiding the teams responsible for keeping GB Connections’ connections performing reliably in demanding applications. His focus is on advancing the company’s technical capabilities while expanding its product portfolio and enhancing the trusted quality that has defined GB Connections for more than four decades.
A problem-solver by nature, Cody believes great engineering starts with curiosity and collaboration. He’s particularly energized by GB Connections’ ability to work closely with customers to design engineered solutions that address unique operational challenges and deliver meaningful results in the field.
Before joining GB Connections, Cody spent more than a decade with Marubeni Itochu Tubulars America, where he led the design, testing and commercialization of connection technologies across multiple materials and applications. He also held engineering roles at ALTISS Technologies and ExxonMobil Refinery in Beaumont, Texas where he gained valuable experience in product design, field deployment and project management.
Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University and is an active member of ASME, SAE, API and Engineers Without Borders.
Based in Houston, Cody finds balance outside of work spending time with his wife, Heidi, their five kids — Madelyn, Annalise, Sterling, Carter, and Carly — and their dog, Copper. He enjoys cars, gardening and any project that lets him build or create something with his hands, a natural extension of his love for engineering.
