Gene Mannella, P.E., serves as Chairman and Executive Technology Officer, providing technical guidance and industry perspective to support GB Connections’ product development and innovation efforts. In this advisory role, he works closely with the CEO and engineering leadership to help shape strategy, evaluate emerging technologies, inform R&D priorities and ensure the company’s technical standards continue to reflect the realities of the field.

With more than four decades of experience in the OCTG industry, Mannella brings deep institutional knowledge spanning engineering, quality, finance, marketing, operations and technical sales. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GB Connections from 2017 to 2024, and previously held roles including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Engineering, and Vice President of Technical Sales over a 38-year tenure with the company. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at McClelland Management Services, including Chief Operating Officer and Profit Center Manager.

A licensed Professional Engineer, Gene holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. His career has been defined by a practical, problem-solving approach to technology development, translating engineering rigor into products that perform reliably under demanding operating conditions.

In his current role, Gene continues to support engineering evolution, offering insight grounded in experience while empowering the next generation of leaders to carry the business forward.

Based in Texas, Gene enjoys woodworking, photography and spending time with his four grandchildren. A lifelong builder and learner, he brings the same craftsmanship and curiosity to his personal interests that have long defined his approach to engineering and technology.
