Robert L. Kovar, P.E. serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of GB Connections, where he leads the organization’s strategic direction, financial performance and growth. Working closely with the senior leadership team, he shapes the company’s vision and ensures strategy is translated into actionable plans that position the business to succeed in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

An entrepreneurial business builder with deep technical roots, Robert brings a rare combination of engineering expertise, operational discipline and financial acumen to his role. He has built and scaled high-performing organizations across the energy sector, delivering strong returns through disciplined execution and a relentless focus on value creation.

As CEO, Kovar ensures strategic alignment across operations, engineering, quality, sales and financing, translating vision into disciplined execution as the company continues to evolve. Under his leadership, GB Connections has strengthened its senior leadership team, sharpened its operational focus and reinforced the principles that have long defined the business: quality, technical expertise and dependable partnership.

Before joining GB Connections, Kovar held senior leadership roles across the oil, gas and energy industries, where he successfully led growth initiatives, capital programs and complex operating environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston–Victoria.

Based in Houston, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife of 39 years, Pamela, their children and two grandsons. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting and fishing, giving back through church and community service and taking on new challenges, interests that reflect his curiosity, discipline and commitment to continual growth.
